Shawna Ebbeson


Shawna Ebbeson is a Walden Univesity Alumnus, earning her MS in Early Childhood Studies as well as a graduate certficate in teaching adults in Early Childhood Field.  She is pursuing her Doctorate in Early Childhood Education through Walden University as well as a graduate certificate in Digital Marketing.

Shawna is an independent early childhood consultant and keynote speaker.  She lives in Eastern Iowa with her husband and homeschools their 7-year-old daughter.

Andre Elliott

Dr. Elliott is the co-founder and founding president for this chapter.   He, too, is a Walden University Alumnus, currently working in the field of education in Okinawa, Japan.

Jarek is the editor for the Walden University Cyberspace Chapter's exclusive Journal of Educational Practice and Social Change.  He received his doctoral degree in Educational Technology from Walden University in 2007 and has been the member of the PDK Cyberspace Chapter since 2004.

Marilyn Simon

VP of Social Media

Also a Walden Alumnus, Dr. Simon has earned her PhD from Walden University and also holds an MST from Illionois Institute of Technology and a BS from Brooklyn College.  

She has over 30 years' experience working in cross-displinary fields in education, mathematics, and doctoral supervision.

Dr. Simon has a strong commitment to positive, dynamic relationships with school districts, universities, hospitals, corporations, small businesses, and community organizations in the areas of evaluation and assessment.
